Tuesday night, Stephen Colbert made his debut on “The Late Show,” taking over for former longtime host David Letterman.

The former star of “The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central had a all-star guest lineup for his debut including George Clooney, presidential candidate Jeb Bush, and even a cameo from friend and former boss from “The Daily Show,” Jon Stewart.

Fans of “The Colbert Report” were devastated when he announced the show was over, and feared for the worst when reports said he would stray away from his overly self-confident attitude, which people came to know and love.

But with the crowd began with the “Stephen” chant, it seemed to be going in the right direction.

The night started off with the National Anthem (and cameo)…

He also introduced the new Ed Sullivan Theater…

So far, fans from Twitter have given him mixed reviews…

But with George Clooney as his first guest, we can only see a bright future for Stephen Colbert and “The Late Show”. Check out a clip from the interview below…
