San Diego’s very own Frankie J. is gearing up for a benefit concert to help those affected by Hurricane Harvey.
I got a chance to chat with Frankie for an interview on Wednesday and we talked a little about his past as a former Texas resident and how this disaster got him inspired to swing into action.
That inspiration came in the form of an idea to put together a benefit concert called “San Diego for Houston.”
The event which is only a few days away will host celebrity musical guests Paula Deanda, the B Side Players, and more.
Frankie had mentioned that he had connected with his local church that he attends here in San Diego and it was through them that he was linked to another church in the Texas area that will be hosting Frankie and his team in the upcoming weeks to help distribute the ticket proceeds from the concert to those in need in the Texas area.
Again, this event will be held this Saturday at The Music Box in Little Italy with 100% of the ticket sale proceeds going directly to those affected by the hurricane.
