DJ Play

DJ Play has been working in the radio business since 1996 starting at the age of 14 as a phone operator on Z90.. Born and raised in the southbay of San Diego, DJ Play had fun boogie boarding in Imperial Beach and listening to hip hop, house, and all of the hits growing up.. His cousin Danny, from the Bronx of New York City, would visit San Diego during the summertime, in the 90s, paving the way for DJ Play to love music… In the early 2000’s, DJ Play helped pioneer a new breakthrough Hip Hop station called Blazin 98.9 where he rocked the turntables live on the air and in the clubs, was an on-air personality, and assisted with the production of commercials. So whether it’s being live on the air, or behind the scenes, DJ Play is a jack of all trade when it comes to radio. Music is certainly the passion.
