Today’s story comes from Ames, Iowa, where 9-year old twin sisters Katelyn and Elias set up a lemonade stand in their neighborhood. Things turned sour when a woman pulled up in her car, grabbed the tip jar, and drove away, stealing all the money the young girls had earned. When their parents called the police, they got a response sweeter than they ever imagined. The officers told other law enforcement agencies in the area about what happened, they all visited the lemonade stand and raised back the money that was stolen. The girls ended up with over 750-dollars, which they plan to donate back to the community. One bad apple couldn’t spoil this group, when life gives you lemons, you just keep making lemonade.
